DHL Freight has begun operations at its new logistics centre in Pratteln, Switzerland.

The 48,000sq metre facility has 62 docking positions for trucks, an 8,000sq metre warehouse, storage for dangerous goods and a Customs warehouse.

The hub, which will become the HQ for DHL’s freight division in Switzerland, also boasts state-of-the-art security.

Located close to the border triangle of Switzerland, France and Germany it can serve as a hub for the distribution of LCL and full-truckload shipments to around 50 European countries.
