Yunnan province increased waterborne freight 16.5pc in 2010

    SOUTHWEST China's Yunnan province posted a 16.5 per cent growth in water transports to 4.02 million tonnes in 2010, while passenger volume increased 11.1 per cent over 2009, reports Xinhua.


    Yunnan's water resource ranks the third in China with more than 8,000 kilometres exploitable shipping channel in more than 60 rivers.
