Logistics service provider Logwin opened its newest office in Ludhiana recently, the company's 12th location in India.
The industrial city in the northern state of Punjab is considered one of the country's fastest growing metropolis.
Thousands of small and large companies, including long-standing Logwin customers, are based in this growing region.
"As a reliable logistics partner for our customers we naturally have a presence in the cities that are important to them," explained Vijay Nair, Logwin's country director in India.
"Thanks to our closer proximity to their production sites we can more quickly gather first-hand knowledge about our customers’ requirements and work with them to develop customised solutions."
Logwin's presence in northern India is of particular interest to regional customers in the areas of sporting goods, bicycles and bicycle parts, car parts as well as fashion and textiles.
"Because we already have existing customers in these industries, we can offer our northern Indian customers the relevant expertise and equipment," said Nair.
Previously, Logwin's location in Delhi was the first point of contact for customers from northern India. Now, Logwin offers international import and export services by air and sea freight directly from Ludhiana, including Customs processing.
