CHONGQING National Container Logistics Centre, a project of state-owned enterprise Chongqing National Container Logistics Co Ltd, has received CNY4 million (US$628.5 million) from the China central government's logistics development support fund this year, Xinhua reports.

     The fund will be used on the A section of the logistics centre, which takes up an area of 14.4 hectares, entailing a total investment of CNY150 million. The facility will be completed in March 2012. It is expected to be able to handle five million tonnes of cargo every year after becoming operational, and generate a revenue of over CNY600 million and over CNY10 million's tax for the government.
