CARGOTEC has secured an order for four Kalmar E-One2 rubber-tyre gantry (RTG) cranes that are to be installed in DP World's container terminal at Botany port in Sydney with delivery expected in fourth quarter.

    The eight-wheeled, all-electric RTGs feature load capacities of 41 tonnes and have the ability to stack containers eight + one wide and one-over-five high. They are equipped with automatic steering and a container position verification system.

    The last DP World order for Sydney was for three Kalmar RTGs in 2006.
