First Container Terminal starts St Petersburg-Moscow service

First Container Terminal has launched a new container block train service called the Saint Petersburg Express that operates from St Petersburg to Moscow and back to St Petersburg twice a week.
The trains will be formed at First Container Terminal and shipped from Avtovo (St Petersburg) and arrive at Moskva-Tovarnaya from where containers will be delivered to the point of destination within the Ring Road by truck, said the Russian Transport Daily Report.
The estimated transit time from St Petersburg to the consignee's warehouse in Moscow is 48 hours. Logistics Operator Ltd has been appointed the train operator.
