Logwin, an air and ocean freight and logistics services provider, saw its Pan Asian revenues soar following the integration of its sales operations in the Far East and south east Asia.
In the Far East for the first five months of 2010, import and export volumes in air and sea freight increased significantly, compared to the same period in 2009.
"We are delighted with the initial results of the Pan Asian sales integration programme and we are expecting to see continued strong growth in the Far East and south east Asian regions as the initiative builds momentum," said Tomas Sonntag, Logwin managing director, Far East.
The company generated sales of US$1.35 billion globally in 2009, a company statement said.
"Traditionally we have been very strong on the Asia-Europe trades as we have a substantial customer base in Europe including many international brand names. Our customers have driven our expansion in Asia initially as a manufacturing centre for their products and in recent years as a fast growing consumer market," he added.
In other news Logwin will be participating in the Transport Logistics China Expo from June 8-10. The company will be presenting its range of services and international expertise at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
