WANZHOU, a developing district of Chongqing, will invest CNY6 billion (US$880 million) to develop a logistics park in its Xintian Port, reports Xinhua.

Covering 10 square kilometres and a shoreline of 3.3 kilometres, Xintian Port will build 10 containership berths and eight conventional berths. Annual throughput will be 1.5 million TEU.

The development of Xintian Port is one of the nine major transport construction projects in Chongqing.
