BDP International (BDP), a privately-owned US-based global logistics and transportation company, has completed its phased acquisition of Euromodal, taking 100 percent ownership of the Spanish logistics firm.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company will conduct business as Euromodal BDP International Spain, under the direction of Jose Angel Martinez, gaining access to BDP's advanced information technology and global network of subsidiaries, joint ventures and strategic partnerships in more than 120 countries.

"With equity positions in regional operations in Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, The United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic, we recognised that we needed to solidify our presence in Spain to better support our customers' expanding trade lane activity in the western Mediterranean," said BDP chief operating officer John Bolte.
