KUEHNE + NAGEL China has announced the commissioning of an in-house quality control centre in Shanghai to service the city.
 

    The multi-purpose premises are located in the logistics company's container freight station (CFS), close to Shanghai's city centre and Waigaoqiao port.

    The quality control centre is specially designed to cater to outsourced quality control activities. It consists of individual rooms to allow for greater flexibility to meet the requirements of different market sectors, particularly, the garment and textile industries, a company statement said.
 

    Customers are expected to benefit from reduced processing lead times and transportation costs due to the centralisation of the company's logistics activities into the CFS facilities that are situated inside a non-bonded area.
