DB Schenker Logistics plans to open a new branch office in Nanchang, the capital city of southeastern Jiangxi province.

The new branch operation of Schenker China Ltd will include a 1,400 square metre Technical Service Station facility specially designed to cater to one of the world's largest solar panel solution providers and a global leader in nano-manufacturing technology solutions.

Owing to its central location between the Yangtze River and Pearl River Delta regions as well as its close proximity to Fujian Economic Zone, Nanchang was chosen as the site for the new facility as the city has developed into a major railroad hub in South China with primary industries in automobile manufacturing, solar technology and pharmaceutical production, the Schenker statement added.
