AADA ups bunker surcharge US$625/TEU on Asia-Australian cargo from June 11
Date:2011-05-12 Readers:

MEMBER lines of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have increased the bunker surcharge to US$625 per TEU and $1,250 per FEU for dry and refrigerated cargo from June 11 for shipments from Japan, Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia.

The AADA said the increase was made according to established procedures and reflects the increase in the price of oil in Hong Kong and South Korea, adding that customers requiring further information should contact the member lines.

AADA members include ANL Singapore, CSCL, Cosco, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, "K" Line, Maersk, MSC, MOL, NYK, OOCL, Gold Star Line and Zim.
