Emirates enters the intra-Asia market with NIS service

    EMIRATES Shipping has announced its participation as a vessel provider in the NIS service alongside Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) and STX Pan Ocean (STX), with its first sailing on May 21 from Incheon.


    The port rotation will be Incheon, Busan, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Jakarta, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and back to Incheon.


    NIS will provide a fast service from Incheon to Ho Chi Minh City in nine days and to Jakarta in 14 days, which is the key difference compared to other such services, said an Emirates statement.


    "With the addition of this new service Emirates will have an ensured coverage within the Asia Pacific region and further consolidate its presence in this very important region, which complements its other regional services," said the statement.


    Emirates Shipping Line DMCEST is registered in Dubai Maritime City of UAE and commercially based in Dubai and Hong Kong.
