China Customs and Celebrity Forum held in Taiwan by Dimerco
Date:2013-07-31 Readers:

Jul.30--TAIWAN logistics firm Dimerco Express Group has held the China Custom and Celebrity Forum in Taipei that focused on companies located in Taiwan that require logistics services in China.

??The company invited three logistics professionals from its Tianjin and Shanghai subsidiaries to speak at the forum, so as to share experiences in developing more efficient supply chains in China. They also discussed application of the Web 2.0 integrated "Dimerco Value Plus System."

??Case studies were presented during the event, ranging from transportation, logistics and warehouse management to customs procedures, policies and duties in China. The company's existing customs brokerage management system is integrated with its customers' electronic data, to enable customers to track the processing status at anytime over the Internet.

??With regards to implementation of the Paperless Custom Clearance Pilot Reform, the company's three subsidiaries in Tianjin, Beijing and Shanghai China have entered into the testing phase of a newly installed paperless customs clearance system. It could also help reduce time spent on data entry, and eliminate errors caused by manual operation.

??China's General Administrative of Customs (GAC) has begun trials at 11 port cities for its Paperless Customs Clearance Pilot Reform programme, which it aims to fully implement nation-wide by 2015.

??In future, the new system could help minimise time spent on data entry, eliminate errors caused by manual operation, reduce paper usage and make redundant procedures such as documents scanning.
