OOCL hikes rates US$250/TEU from northeast Asia to Australia

    Hong kong's orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced it will increase freight rates between northeast Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea to and from Australia by US$250 per TEU from October 15.
    This rate increase is a new move for its revenue recovery programme, said the release of the carrier.
    OOCL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong public shipping liner orient Overseas (International) Ltd (OOIL), providing container transport and logistics services with more than 280 offices in 55 countries.
