Agility launched operations in Cambodia, opening an office in the capital Phnom Penh.
The Dubai-based logistics provider said it is strengthening its network in Southeast Asia. Agility Cambodia will offer airfreight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing and local distribution to locally-based and network customers.
A cross-border trucking service connects Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and to Bangkok, Thailand, and services are planned to link South China and Vietnam.
The office will also handle project logistics in the oil and gas sector and fairs and events.
The company is seeing a significant increase in international trade from Cambodia to the U.S. and Europe, as well as to the rest of Asia, said Mike Gildea, CEO of Agility, South East Asia,
There has also been an increase in cross-border trade within Indochina and between ASEAN countries.
