On April 2, 2009, members of the Water Transport and Engineering Education Steering Subcommittee under the Transport and Engineering Education Steering Committee visited SISI. During the visit, SISI Deputy Director and Professor Zhen Hong introduced the development of SISI, and then Professor Wang Nuo and Professor Xie Xinlian of Dalian Maritime University; Prof. Lv Jing, Dean of the Transportation Management College of Dalian Maritime University; Professor Zhang Peilin of Wuhan University of Technology; Professor Huang Jianshe, Associate Dean of Navigation College of Jimei University; Professor Wang Hongpeng of the Research Center of Modern Logistics under Jimei University and other experts put forth pertinent suggestions on the development of SISI.
