FEDEX Trade Networks, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, has opened 10 new freight forwarding offices in Asia. The new facilities are located in Singapore, Taipei, Taiwan, Beijing, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Xiamen and Dalian.
These openings add to FedEx Trade Networks' freight forwarding operations in Hong Kong and Shanghai, which opened in 2008, and brings the total number of locations to 12, supported by more than 100 team members, a FedEx statement said.
The company has also opened a representative office in Vietnam.
In addition to Asia, FedEx Trade Networks is opening additional facilities and establishing alliances throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, it said.
"FedEx Trade Networks is committed to the Asia Pacific region and our current network expansion here reinforces the FedEx global growth strategy by enhancing our portfolio of services that our customers in this region demand," said Joseph Frank, managing director, Asia, FedEx Trade Networks.
"The comprehensive freight forwarding solutions that FedEx Trade Networks provides will give our customers the flexibility and FedEx reliability they need for their diverse global supply chain and forwarding requirements. These services will be instrumental in helping them compete more effectively in the global marketplace," he added.
