The German logistics industry is expecting to grow by 1% in 2010 after it shrank by between 6% and 9% to around EUR 205bn (USD 307.81bn) in 2009. According to Raimund Klinkner, CEO of the German logistics industry association BVL, one third of the German logistics companies are investing to prepare for the upcoming upswing. Despite the crisis, the number of employees in the logistics industry decreased by just 0.1mn to 2.7mn in 2009 compared to 2008, Logistics Finland reports.
