JAPAN's NYK logistics arm, Yusen Logistics, is to launch national subsidiary in Cambodia from November 1 to increase ocean and air cargo volumes since it opened a representative office in Phnom Penh in 2011.
Since it opened a representative office in Phnom Penh in 2011, it has expanded business through local partners and has seen ocean freight volume increase 30 per cent year on year, reports the UK's Transport Intelligence.
The company has launched a range of forwarding services, including the procurement logistics of clothing from Cambodia to major retailers of Japan, Europe and the US. It also offers consolidation service for smaller shipments from Cambodia with its own operation and air cargo transport using its network in Asia.
Additionally, cross-border road freight networks will be strengthened from Thailand from Cambodia to Vietnam using the Southern Economic Corridor. |
