On December 5, 2011, Dong Xuedai, Deputy General Manager of Research and Development Department of China Merchants Holding (International) Company Limited, visited Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) in the company of Secretary-General Liu Xunliang of the Shanghai Shipbrokers Association of SISI. Secretary and Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang, Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Jieshu, and Deputy Director Zhou Dequan of Market Analysis Department of SISI received them. Both sides exchanged ideas on the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
Ms. Zhang Jieshu and Mr. Dong Xuedai successively introduced the situation of SISI and China Merchants Holding (International). As a listed company held by China Merchants Group with a history of 130 years, China Merchants Holding (International) Company Limited is mainly engaged in port-business-based transport infrastructure projects, including port business, container manufacturing and related business, toll road, and tanker business.
Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang highlighted the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center, especially the construction of soft environments of the shipping center, including shipping finance, insurance, arbitration, policies and personnel.
Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Jieshu focused on the development of domestic free trade zones, the current development and problems of Shanghai Bonded Logistics Park.

On December 8, 2011, Manager Li Zhengyu, together with his colleagues Ms. Xing Yue and Mr. Du Yanying of Clarkson Asia Limited Shanghai Representative Office, paid a goodwill visit to Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI). Led by Secretary-General Zhen Hong, Secretary and Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang, and Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Jieshu, SISI’s research team received the guests.
