They are influential icons within the shipping community, having witnessed the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre; they are the powerhouse driving sustainable development of the shipping industry, functioning as a tower of strength to the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre; they are the new blood for the construction of Shanghai with an unswerving ambition of building a powerful shipping nation, forging ahead courageously in the tide of the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Centre. SISI Secretary-General Prof. Zhen Hong won the first Outstanding and Innovative Talents Award by virtue of his excellent performance in facilitating decision-making and advisory in the construction of the Shipping Center.

On the grand occasion of the CPC's 90th Founding Anniversary, in order to help excellent shipping practitioners play a pioneering and leading role in the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and to showcase the meritorious deeds of shipping talents with outstanding contributions to the Center during the past five years, Shanghai International Shipping Logistics HR Service Centre, together with Shanghai International Shipping Centre Development & Promotion organization (SISC-DPO), Shanghai Shipowners' Association (SSA), Pudong New Area Shipping Development & Promotion Centre, Shanghai Hongkou District Personnel Service Centre, and Shipping Service Institute under Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), organized the election of “The First Exhibition of Outstanding and Innovative Shipping Talents in Shanghai”, unveiling to the world a batch of outstanding and innovative shipping talents today.
