The meeting featured the attendance of middle-aged and young teachers from Shanghai Maritime University, Dalian Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology and Jimei University, etc. Secretary-General Zhen Hong of the Teaching Sub-committee attended the meeting on behalf of Chairman Yu Shicheng.

Vice President Liu Zhengjiang of Dalian Maritime University addressed the meeting. He extended warm welcome to all teachers for their participation and gave full recognition to the meeting. He pointed out that strengthening the exchange of teaching experience among middle-aged and young teachers is an important way for them to improve teaching ability, and carry forward the experience and methods of the old-generations.
The meeting consisted of two stages. In the first stage, the professional senior teachers specializing in transport briefed their experience. Professor Zong Beihua of SMU College of Transport, Professor Zhang Peilin of Wuhan University of Technology, and Professor Xie Xinlian of Dalian Maritime University introduced their teaching experience over the past years, by focusing respectively on “Tips for achieving good teaching effects”, “Exchanges on teaching experience”, and “Three necessary abilities for a university teacher”, and pointing out any noteworthy problems. The professors believed that only dedicated, responsible, careful and rigorous teachers can achieve good teaching effects. Their excellent speeches and rich experience provided valuable reference for the teachers. In the second phase, the old professors exchanged their understandings with the middle-aged and young teachers, as well as shared and communicated their experience or difficulties in current teaching. The participating teachers felt that the meeting organized by the Teaching Committee will not only help them improve their teaching skills but also promote the friendship among the middle-aged and young teachers from different universities.
