In September, 2011, Comprehensive Transportation, a kernel journal founded in 1979 under the administration of National Development and Reform Commission, published an interview with Professor Yu Shicheng, President and Secretary of CPC Committee of Shanghai Maritime University and Director of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), titled “Serve the Construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center with Global Voice”.
    In the interview, President Yu analyzed the progress of the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center, and also pointed out our gap with other international shipping centers in developed countries. He also explained the role of Shanghai Maritime University in the construction of the Center. Meanwhile, he stated that the proposal and promotion of construction strategies by SISI had exerted a profound impact on the development of Shanghai Maritime University.
