From May 18th to 20th, 2009, SISI and AST&L jointly held the Train-The-Trainer Course on IMDG Code. Mr. Steve Hawks, the lecturer, is a senior expert in international transport of dangerous goods and a member of the Transportation Safety Institute under the U.S. Department of Transportation, with 40 years of experience in the dangerous-goods logistics industry. Trainees are executives of various transnational companies. This training course was designed to meet the demand of domestic enterprises for international training courses in Mandarin, with an aim of promoting the normalization and development of the international transport of dangerous goods. The trainees will become the first trainers of IMDG Code training courses in Mandarin, committed to IMDG Code training and education in China.
