Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang Visits International Far Eastern Leasing Co., Ltd.

On the afternoon of February 2, SISI Deputy Secretary-General Li Gang, accompanied by related employees of SISI, visited International Far Eastern Leasing Co., Ltd. (IFEL) and held talks with IFEL Deputy General Manager Niu Weidong and other staff. A preliminary intention of mutual cooperation was reached.


Li Gang extended SISI Secretary-General Zhen Hong's gratitude to IFEL and Niu Weidong for their support for SISI, and introduced the research and business progress of SISI in the recent year, in addition to outlining the preparation and construction of Shipping Finance Institute and the vision for future development. Niu Weidong briefed IFEL's rapid business development in recent years, especially the exciting achievement in the Shipping Business Department. In 2009, IFEL ranked first in China and third in the world in terms of ship trading business. In 2011, the Shipping Business Department will strive to develop into a team with 100-odd members and tens of billions of assets. Both sides expressed their intentions for further cooperation, and promised to bring IFEL's prominent advantages in the industry into full play and make effective use of SISI's powerful research resources, so as to actively contribute to the development of the soft environment of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
