On January 20, 2010, SISI held a press conference to release Shipping Market Analysis Report (2009 Review and 2010 Outlook), focusing respectively on 2009 review and 2010 outlook of international dry bulk shipping market, international container liner shipping market, international tanker shipping market and Chinese coastal dry bulk shipping market.
The participants included Secretary-General Prof. Zhen Hong of SISI; Deputy Division Chief Mo Jianying of the Science and Technology Department of Shanghai Maritime University (SMU); Deputy Director Zhang Jianguo of Shanghai North Shipping Service Cluster Construction & Development Office in Hongkou district; and Office Chief Associate Prof. Zhang Jieshu of SISI. Prof. Zhen Hong addressed the conference, and extended sincere thanks to SMU and Hongkou District People's Government for their unceasing supports for SISI and the market report as well as his gratitude for the attendance of friends from the media. He then introduced the development of Shipping Market Analysis Report and the market investigation in the recent four years since SISI’s establishment. Zhang Yongfeng, Researcher of the Shipping Market Analysis Department of SISI, made a brief introduction to the prospects and suggestions for 2010 in connection with the Report, concluding that the world shipping market has bottomed out and rebounded slowly. Then relevant personnel of SISI answered the questions in relation to the Report from media reporters. Deputy Director Zhang Jianguo concluded the press conference. As pointed out by him, the Report released by SISI contains not only valuable information, but also original insights and thoughts of SISI, providing references for shipping enterprises and governments. He also wished the Report a greater progress.
