Apr.16--Hapag-Lloyd will boost rates for all cargoes and container types on several of its trade routes, starting May 15.

From East Asia to the Caribbean, Central America’s east coast, Panama, South America’s east coast, South America’s west coast, Central America’s west coast and Mexico, the container line said, the increase will be $500 per 20-foot-equivalent unit.

Hapag-Lloyd separately said that northeast Asia-Australia rates will rise by $300 per TEU, also on May 15.
