Apr.16--APL will boost rates on its trade from Hong Kong and Macau in South China to Nhava Sheva and Pipavav in India, starting April 15.

The hike will be $50 per 20-foot dry, flat rack, open top and tank container; $100 per 40-foot dry, 40-foot high-cube dry, 40-foot flat rack, 40-foot open top and 40-foot tank container; and $130 per 45-foot dry container.

The carrier will also hike rates for all containers on its trade from India to Haiphong, Vietnam, beginning April 19. The increase will be $200 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube dry container, as well as per 40-foot flat rack, open top and tank container.?
