Mr. Francesco Carabellese, Senior Consultant POAT Socrate from Apulia, Italy, visited Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) today and was received by Prof. Li Gang, Deputy Secretary General SISI. Both found their friendly and cordial exchanges rather rewarding.

This, however, is not the first time they meet each other. May of this year saw Prof. Li visit the Apulia Region upon the invitation from the regional government. During his visit, Prof. Li hosted workshops with regional logistics firms and government officials, and toured the port or airport of Taranto, Grottaglie, Bari and Brindisi. Since the Apulia Region has decided to take on show the Apulia Logistic System on Transport Logistics 2014, Mr. Carabellese would like to seek suggestions from Prof. Li on this occasion.

Prof. Li and Mr. Carabellese touched upon topics like the general trade between Italy and China, trade and investment promotion of Bari, and tourism and trade as well as transport and logistics development in Apulia as a whole.
