Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) has the privilege and pleasure in receiving Mr. Mark Wuebbels, Consul and Economic Officer of the US Consulate General Shanghai today.

This is Mr. Wuebbels’ first visit to SISI since he took office. Like his predecessors and colleagues who have frequented the institute, Mr. Wuebbels hopes his current visit could help further exchanges between the Consulate General and SISI. And in particular, he would like to know SISI’s perspectives on some of the buzz issues in the shipping and port industry.

Prof. Zhen Hong, Secretary General SISI, and Prof. Li Gang, Deputy Secretary General SISI, received the guests. During the meeting later, the two sides had a wide yet enlightening discussion on issues including latest development of the Shanghai free trade zone, and possible impact of the P3 Alliance and VAT reform on industrial players, ect.
