Kieran Ring, Chief Executive Officer of Global Institute of Logistics (GIL), accompanied by William Yang-Lei, visited Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) this morning.

They were received by Prof. Zhen Hong, Secretary General of SISI, and Prof. Zhang Jieshu, Deputy Secretary of SISI, among others.

The main purpose of the visit is to sign a cooperative memorandum of understanding which defines the possible areas for GIL and SISI to collaborate in the future. As an effort to further understanding, however, the two sides also had a friendly exchange on issues of mutual interest, such as GIL’s Chainport program and SISI’s global port benchmarking efforts.
