SOUTHWEST China's Yunnan provincial government is going all out to build a modern rail freight network, according to Xinhua.

    Among the planned 40 rail freight stations, 17 have already been completed. These stations, essentially logistics parks with packaging, warehousing, trading, distributing and other facilities, aim to connect Yunnan with other provinces and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia.
