China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone has upgraded its online foreign trade portal to Version 2.0. The portal, known as “Single Window Clearance System” is a one-stop service platform for foreign trade companies in the zone.

The portal is connected with 20 government departments and more than 1,200 companies in the zone. It is used by about 26,000 foreign trade operators.

The new version cut the list of items for customs declaration by one third and the list of items for shipping declaration by 80 percent. As a result, a batch of cargoes can be cleared in one day instead of previous eight days.
