Argentine Ambassador to China Diego Guelar and Argentine Consul-General in Shanghai Antonio Martin Rivolta headed a delegation to tour Waigaoqiao Area and Sunland-Waigaoqiao last week.

The delegation did a field study for the possible location of Argentine National Pavilion, visited the custom clearance sites at the Waigaoqiao, commodity inspection stations, Chile National Pavilion and Waigaoqiao International Exhibition & Trading Center of Wine & Beverage and discussed business and trade cooperation with local officials.

Wang Xinling, deputy director of the China (Shanghai) Free Trade Pilot Zone administration, received the delegation and briefed them on the reform and innovation policies in Waigaoqiao as well as the operation mechanism of national and regional pavilions in the area.

The ambassador praised the innovations and efficiency of digitalized custom clearance technology and was also impressed by the successful operation of Chile National Pavilion. He hoped that an Argentine National Pavilion can be opened at Waigaoqiao.
