TransCore sees truck freight volume in Canada rise 35 per cent

    TRANSCORE has registered a 35 per cent increase in spot market truck freight volume in Canada in March compared to the same month a year earlier.
 

    Load posts on TransCore's US freight-matching network rose by 42 per cent in March compared to the previous month, and were 61 per cent higher than in March 2010, reports Newark's Journal of Commerce. The volume transported by the company's Canadian freight-matching service, Loadlink, was up 36 per cent compared to February.
 

    It said the company's Canadian Freight Index showed that load volume had risen by 250 per cent last month compared to March 2009, the company said.
