The British International Freight Association says Hong Kong's orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has agreed to sponsor the Project Forwarding category at the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2010.
Said BIFA director general Peter Quantrill: "I am so pleased that the final category has been filled by a truly first-class shipping line. OOCL sales manager Jean-Pierre Dutaut joined the award's judging panel meeting, together with the other senior sponsor representatives and three independent judges, to select the winners of the competition that will be announced at the BIFA Awards ceremony in January."
This year, Allseas Global Logistics, Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics, FH Bertling, and Global Logistics Management are vying for the Project Forwarding award.
OOCL joins the eight other category sponsors: British Airways World Cargo (Air Freight), Maersk Line (Environment), TT Club (European Logistics), CargoWise (Ocean Freight), Forward Computers (Special Services), Albacore Systems (Staff Development), BoxTop Technologies (Supply Chain Management) and Johnson Stevens Agencies (Young Freight Forwarder).
The award winners will be announced at the BIFA Annual Lunch and Awards Ceremony to be held in London in January. Tickets to the ceremony are available online at www.bifa.org/awards.
