From 5th to 8th April 2017, SISI delegation consisting of Prof. Yin Ming, party secretary, Prof. Zhang Jieshu, deputy secretary-general, and Prof. Jin Jiachen, director of Shipping Centre Construction Research Department, visited Singapore and conducted an investigation into international shipping centre construction.

During the stay, SISI delegation was warmly received by Bilsea Group, SingUnion Shipping Pte. Ltd., National University of Singapore, DNV GL, and Nanyang Technological University. Through investigation, the delegation had an understanding of the present situation of international shipping centre construction in Singapore, as well as supporting and encouraging policies from the government. Delegates also discussed with those institutions on issues about cooperation and communication. Besides, Prof. Yin Ming delivered a speech titled “See shipping out of shipping: Learn from the history” and exchanged ideas with alumni of Shanghai Maritime University in Singapore, which enjoyed a large popularity.
