CH Robinson Worldwide, a Minneapolis area 3PL, has achieved a third quarter net profit of US$102.6 million, representing an increase of 7.5 per cent compared to the same period a year earlier.
    Revenue for the quarter ending September 30 came to $2.4 billion, up 24 per cent year on year, reported American Shipper. Transportation net revenue grew by 8.6 per cent to $336.6 million.
    The company registered year on year increases in third quarter net revenues in the following segments: truck haulage, up six per cent; intermodal, up 10 per cent; ocean transport, up 27.3 per cent; air transport, up 37.8 per cent; and other logistics services (chiefly transport management and customs brokerage fees), up 25.2 per cent.
