Kerry Logistics has received the Hong Kong Smart City+ Award-Silver Award for its Kerrier RFID solution at the Hong Kong Smart City+ Forum in Shanghai, in recognition of its pioneering role in adopting Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies.
    Jointly organised by GS1 Hong Kong and Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum Limited, the forum is a key feature of Hong Kong's UBPA Exhibition at Expo 2010 Shanghai China. The award aims to honour the contributions of Hong Kong enterprises and organisations to developing and applying RFID technologies, a company statement said.
    "We are honoured to receive this award during this showcase event in Shanghai which provides an opportunity for Hong Kong companies to show the ground breaking new technology that we have developed to increase visibility, improve efficiency and reduce costs," said Wilson Lee, director of Information Technology, Kerry Logistics.
    The main benefits of Kerrier RFID to customers are enhanced operational efficiency and accuracy that helps to minimise human error through visual verification of serial number checking.
