The exhibition “ROUTES 1600: 400 years marine history between the Netherlands & China” unfolds itself at China Maritime Museum on September 10th, as a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands.
The event is organized by China Maritime Museum and Maritime Museum Rotterdam, and is highly supported by Shanghai Urban and Rural Construction and Communications Commission, Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office, City Council Rotterdam, Netherlands Consulate General in Shanghai and a number of Shanghai branches of Netherlands shipping companies.
The show boasts more than 130 exhibits on display, of which some 58 comes from the Netherlands. It shows how maritime activities help connect the city of Shanghai and Rotterdam and how they come to transform cities and people’s life.
Shanghai International Shipping Institute is invited to the opening ceremony and exhibition afterwards.
