PANALPINA has opened a second branch office in Wuhan, western Hubei province, to boost its Wuhan centralised services centre and further expand its services in China's inland cities.

    "This investment confirms Panalpina's commitment towards growth in China and to providing exemplary service to customers doing business in and out of Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces," said Robert Timmerman, managing director Greater China.

    The company said it will offer customers in Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi all of its services including access to a global air network and international seaports. The company also provides a mix of overland transportation solutions.

    "Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi's fast growing hi-tech, automotive and pharmaceutical companies will now have the local presence of a reliable global player providing solutions specifically designed for their industries," added Mr Timmerman.
