Shenzhen "combined port" to add new routes!
Date:2024-03-05 Readers:
The opening of the combined port route of "Foshan Nanhai - Shenzhen Yantian" has not only enriched the export logistics mode of enterprises, but also reduced the logistics cost.

Recently, with the sound of a whistle, the "Zhenyuan 070" ship left Sanshan Port, and a batch of 15.39 tons of outdoor furniture produced in Foshan will be transported to Yantian Port through the barge, and directly lifted to international freighters for export overseas.

This marks the official landing of the new logistics model of "Foshan Nanhai - Shenzhen Yantian" combined port and the official opening of the new route.

It is reported that the "Foshan Nanhai - Shenzhen Yantian" combined port is a "Bay area combined port" composed of Yantian Port as a hub port and Foshan Inland River terminal as a feeder port, and the cargo is directly transferred by water between the hub port and the feeder port to form an organic integrated port network.

The goods of Foshan foreign trade enterprises can be directly connected to the rich international routes of Yantian through the combined port, and quickly reach all parts of the world, with only one customs declaration, one inspection and one release, which greatly saves the time, manpower and logistics costs of import and export enterprises, and improves the level of trade facilitation.

This model can also effectively avoid the uncertainty of not being able to catch up with the shipment schedule due to traffic congestion in the past land-sea combined transport process, further improve the production planning of enterprises and improve the precision of production resource allocation.

According to reports, the opening of the "Foshan Nanhai - Shenzhen Yantian" combined port route, through the water transport superposition port supporting storage services, relative to land transport, each container can save 200~400 yuan.

By the end of 2023, Shenzhen Port has opened a total of 36 combined port routes and completed more than 600,000 TEUs, achieving full coverage of 9 mainland cities and 5 customs regions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, creating a better development opportunity and business environment for ports and foreign trade import and export enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region.
