The country's first zero-carbon port creation plan released

Recently, the Shandong port of Bohai Bay Port and the water transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport jointly prepared and released the Weifang Port zero-carbon port creation plan, which is also the first zero-carbon port creation plan in the country.

At the same time, China Classification Society Quality Certification Co., Ltd. evaluated the commitment of Weifang Port Area to achieve carbon neutrality and the corresponding carbon neutral management plan according to PAS2060:2014 Carbon neutral Verification Code. The evaluation results met the requirements of PAS2060 and awarded the committed carbon neutral certificate.

Under the background of "double carbon" goal, the zero carbon port creation plan of Weifang Port focuses on the basic idea of integrated development of port and energy, selects the whole process perspective of logistics chain with port node as the core, anchors the adjustment structure, strong technology and heavy management, lays out the creation tasks in eight fields, creates five highlights, and comprehensively promotes the construction of zero carbon port of Weifang Port.

It is reported that Weifang Port strives to achieve the phase goal of zero carbon port 2.0 in Hong Kong by the end of 2024, build the first zero-carbon port at the port level in the country, provide "Bohai Bay port experience" for Shandong Port Group and even the national zero-carbon port construction, and strive to take the lead in the industry to build a zero-carbon port 3.0 demonstration area characterized by "green and low-carbon development of the whole logistics chain".

First, the concept and path of three stages of "zero carbon port" are innovatively proposed - zero carbon port 1.0(near zero carbon port), zero carbon port 2.0(narrow zero carbon port), and zero carbon port 3.0(broad zero carbon port);

Second, take the lead in proposing to build the first zero-carbon port at the port level;

Third, build zero-carbon energy demonstration of integration of source network, charge and storage, promote the whole industrial chain demonstration of green hydrogen "production-storage-add-use", and build a new energy application demonstration of "full link, full penetration, full coverage, full ecology, and full scene";

Fourth, actively explore the low-carbon technology of carbon dioxide plus wind power green hydrogen to produce methanol, to provide green methanol energy for ships at port, and reduce the carbon footprint of relevant parties in the logistics chain;

Fifth, define the new standard of zero-carbon intelligent operation mode for general bulk cargo terminals.
