SINGAPORE's port operator PSA has launched the expansion of its Jurong Island Terminal to meet rising demand, reports Xinhua.
The expansion will be completed by 2025, enabling the terminal to handle 300,000 TEU annually, according to a PSA statement.

The terminal handled a record-breaking 149,000 TEU of containers last year, up 13 per cent from 2022.
The expansion works will support Jurong Island's transformation into a sustainable energy and chemicals hub in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
