Eight and eight! The world's largest ro-ro ship company is placing crazy orders at China Shipyard.
Date:2024-03-27 Readers:

The world's largest ro-ro ship operator chooses to place an order again, or China Shipyard.

Yesterday, Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the world's largest ro-ro ship operator, once again announced that it had signed a contract with China Shipyard to build four 9300CEU car carriers. The choice this time is still China Shipyard.

On March 25th, Warren Wilson announced that he had signed four contracts for 9300ceu car carriers at Jinling Shipyard of China Merchants in China. The four ships will adopt the Shaper class design developed in cooperation with Deltamarin, a Finnish design company under China Merchants Industries, which has the function of multi-fuel selection and can use methanol and ammonia as fuel.

Last month, Warren Wilson announced that four "Shaper" class 9350-car methanol dual-fuel vehicle carriers will take effect for China Merchants Jinling Shipping (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (Jinling Shipyard), which is expected to be delivered between May and November 2027, expanding its effective order at Jinling Shipyard to eight.

Since then, Warren Wilson has placed a total of 8 effective orders and 8 alternative orders at Jinling Shipyard, totaling 16 ships.

Warren Wilson Group is an operator in the field of ro-ro ship and vehicle logistics, responsible for distributing cars, trucks, ro-ro equipment and bulk goods to customers all over the world. The company operates about 125 ships, serving 15 trade routes to six continents, a global inland distribution network, 66 processing centers and 8 marine terminals. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Warren Wilson Group has 9,500 employees in 28 countries around the world.
