Recently, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Yangzhong Branch for the Singapore Sea Consortium shipowners to build 7000TEU container ship H1534 ship in the branch smoothly out of the dock, Zhenjiang City, shipbuilding enterprises to build the largest container ship.
The ship has an overall length of 272.0 metres, a beam of 42.8 metres, a depth of 24.6 metres and a design capacity of 7000 TEU. Before leaving the dock, H1534 has completed 100% of the painting of engine room cabin, special painting cabin and fresh water cabin, and the completion rate of the bottom ballast tank painting has reached 50%, and completed the important node projects such as emergency generator inspection, main power generator motor vehicle, boiler ignition, etc. in the dock four days ago. The ship will start the dock mooring test after leaving the dock to lay the foundation for sea trial and final delivery.
On the same day, H1382, built by Yangzhong Branch of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Thailand RCL Company, achieved 6-ring floating on the same day, with the hull structure maximised for completeness inspection, and 6 sets of lashing bridges all carried and reached the state of inspection, which ensured that after floating and shifting the seating piers, it was able to start the work of pulling lines and lighting, and boring and plugging shafts quickly. At the same time, all the sections of H1382's bow half-ship assembly group were opened to make full preparations for the docking of the overall section painting integrity and continuous and efficient loading.
It is understood that in October last year, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu New Hantong Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. signed a strategic co-operation agreement and settled in Yangzhong City. The two sides will work together to open a full range of co-operation in ship technology, enterprise management, information technology construction, shipbuilding, personnel training and other aspects, and will reserve spare capacity for Waigaoqiao new ship construction to provide protection. In the middle of November last year, the pre-processing line of Yangzhong Branch of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding was officially launched, and H1534 is the first ship built by Yangzhong Branch of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
According to eyeball data, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company Limited Yangzhong Branch was established on 16 August 2023, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
