Another new vessel of the "national team" of automobile shipping started construction.

On 29th March, Guangshi International, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of No.3 PCTC, a 7,000-vehicle LNG dual-fuel car carrier, for CITIC Jin Leasing. Upon completion, the vessel will be leased to Guangzhou COSCO Car Carrier Co., Ltd, a joint venture company under COSCO Shipping Special Transport, for international transport, providing stable and safe capacity support for Chinese automobile enterprises, and assisting the "national car national transport".

Mr Yu Xiudong, President of CITIC Golden Leasing, Mr Wei Qiang, Member of the Party Committee, Mr Zhang Qinghuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, and other leaders and honourable guests attended the groundbreaking ceremony and witnessed the signing of the groundbreaking documents by the three parties.

Designed by Shanghai Shipbuilding Research & Design Institute (SDARI), the vessel has 12 vehicle decks, which can be used to transport cars, vans, heavy trucks and other vehicles, as well as some dangerous goods and new energy vehicles.

It is reported that this vessel is the third in a series of car carriers ordered by CITIC Jin Leasing and COSCO Shipping Special Transport, which is an excellent achievement of the deepening co-operation between the three parties.
