First order! 2 product tanker owners revealed!

In January this year, China Shipbuilding Group's CSBC Chengxi Ship Repair & Building Co., Ltd (CSBC Chengxi) announced the undertaking of six 50,000 dwt MR-type product tankers and four 82,600 dwt methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers. four methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers and four of these MR-type product tankers have been made public earlier by the shipowners, respectively, by the Intercontinental Shipping and the U.S. Foremost Group (Foremost Group) order; the other two MR-type product tankers owners have finally been revealed. The owners of the other two MR-type product tankers have also been revealed.

Foreign media news, the Greek shipping company PRODIGY in January this year to the CSBC Chengxi placed an order for two 50,000 dwt MR-type product tankers, is expected to be delivered in 2026, the cost of a single ship is estimated to be 45 million U.S. dollars (about 326 million yuan), the total value of the order is about 90 million U.S. dollars (about 651 million yuan).

The order is PRODIGY's first order for MR-type product tankers, but it is not the first cooperation with CSBC. The Greek shipping company had previously built four 82,000 dwt bulk carriers in CSC Chengxi.

It is understood that CSBC Chengxi in the first quarter of this year in the field of ship repair and construction of a total of 12 new shipbuilding projects, ship repair of 49 ships, the completion and delivery of 5 new shipbuilding, the completion of the repair of 39 ships; at the same time, the successful delivery of 44 sets of wind towers, and signed a new contract for the manufacture of wind towers.

In February this year, the Greek bulk carrier shipping company W Marine confirmed that it signed an order for two 82,000 dwt bulk carriers in CSC Chengxi, which is the first new shipbuilding order for W Marine in nearly 20 years. In the PRODIGY order information published, CSBC Chengxi in the first quarter of this year to undertake the 12 new ship owner information has been made public.

In the first quarter of this year, CSBC Chengxi business undertakings, industrial output value have exceeded the target of the first quarter, compared with the year-on-year to achieve a substantial increase in the rate of on-schedule delivery of 100% of the ship.
