On 24th May, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Pilotage Station was established, marking a new breakthrough in the integration of Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
It is reported that the newly established Ningbo Zhoushan Port Pilotage Station will be responsible for co-ordinating the pilotage work in the whole port area, and implementing pilotage for foreign ships and other ships in need of pilotage in and out of Ningbo Zhoushan Port.
Originally, by the administrative area and management system and other reasons, Ningbo, Zhoushan pilotage activities in the two places of specific practices are not the same. Pilotage agencies in the two places on the same ship needs to pass through the Ningbo port area and Zhoushan port area at the same time when the pilotage procedures, so berthing ships have to be by the two pilotage station of their respective pilotage, respectively, sign billing and billing, which formed a "ship two pilot" phenomenon, invariably increase the cost of operation and time costs of the ship.
